INITIAL REACTIONS
· My first impression of this art work is that it was very pretty.
· No, I can’t really make personal connections with this artwork.
· Happy, because it’s really bright and pretty.
· Nothing really puzzles me, nor do I have any questions.
· Happy
· I think I would work it more into becoming clearer.
DESCRIPTION
· You see a flower, and yes it’s very easy to identify the subject.
· The center of the flower grabs your attention first out of all of them because there are many lead in lines that lead to the middle and it is also right in the middle of the picture.
· The artwork was made with the macro setting on my camera and I also used zoom to help get closer. I had to take many pictures before I got the perfect clear one.
ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATIONS
· Color is one of the most significant art elements in this work because its fills the frame with bright purple.
· The focal point is the center of the flower.
· I used the macro technique and also the zoom on my camera to get closer to the subject.
· It is a still life art work.
· I have created movement with the sides of the flower having lead in lines into the center of the flower. The light is also brighter in the middle of the flower.
· Balance was created by having the light around the flower at the top darker then the middle where the light is lighter.
· The meaning of this art work is to show people that anything can be pretty in its own way.
· There may be a way to interpret this art work differently but I don’t think that it would be easy to because it’s obvious it’s a flower.
CULTURAL CONTEXT
· This art work was created on the weekend at my house with the flowers hanging on our deck.
· It could explain to people that everything is pretty in its own way.
· No this art work does not belong to a particular period of history or a specific art style. Maybe a nature style but it’s not very specific.
· Anyone who looks at my site is indented to the chance to check out this art work.
EXPRESSION OF AN INFORMED POINT OF VIEW/ AESTHETIC JUDGEMENT
· Yes, I feel that this art work was very successful because it’s showed out looking really good in my eyes. I think it was successful because its shows contrast in the light differing for the outside of the image but in the middle ts brighter, there is balance, and lead in lines, it’s a fill frame and its focused on the center of the flower like I wanted it to be.
· No, my emotions have not changed from the first reaction.
· This art work could connect to someone feeling bad about them because it shows that anything can be pretty no matter what.
· I think I would use a tripod or something to make sure it comes out perfectly clear, but at the same time I like that the outside is kind of blurry.
· I think the color and the way it’s blurry on the outside and not the inside makes the art work valuable.
